The Mountain View Corridor is a freeway being constructed on the West side of the Salt Lake Valley. The UDOT video discusses the plan.
This transportation plan is much larger in scope than the Legacy Highway. The Legacy Highway received fierce opposition at every turn. I looked and did not find any web sites opposing this plan. I do not claim to understand the rationality of protests.
