Shannon Hale

squeetus is the official site for Salt Lake writer Shannon Hale.

In 2006, Ms. Hale won the Newbery Honor for her her new work Princess Academy. The Newbery Award and Honors are given by the American Library Association to the top children's stories.

In this work, the main character Miri finds herselve competing in at the Princess Academy for the chance of becoming the princess of the land. She soon finds that things aren't what they seem and must resort to her own inner strength to find her true destiny.

The Princess Academy is Shannon Hale's third work, following The Goose Girl and Enna Burning.
