Thinking of taking a trip? Why not hop on a train? You can enjoy both a relaxed trip and save gas.

The California Zephyr runs from San Francisco through Salt Lake to Chicago. From Salt Lake the east bound train heads southeast through Grand Junction then takes a spectacular ride through Glenn Canyon emerging from the Rocky Mountains in Denver.

The west bound train takes a midnight run through the deserts of the Great Basin in Nevada (including popular destinations such as Wendover and Reno.) The train crosses the Sierra Nevada and visits Sacramento then terminates at Emeryville, Ca (across the bay from San Francisco).
