Deseret Industries
Established during the Great Depression in 1938, Deseret Industies is a chain of thrift stores operated by the Welfare Devision of the LDS Church.
The company has 46 stores in the Mountain West. The stores accept donations of used clothes and furnishings and will fix things that are reparable. The organization offers paid vocational training with approval of the local bishop.
The video shows some thrifters hitting the DI. The stores are huge.
My photo gallery shows pictures of buildings featuring the Deseret brand.
