Spirit and Soul of the Tree

We are a silly culture. When we are kids we plant trees in high maintenance areas believing that they will save the earth. We water and consume tons of hydrocarbons trimming and treating the trees. When they die or they become eye-soars we grind them up with chippers.

Mel Bellock had cut down a tree and was burning it for fuel. When he could no longer stand burning such beautiful wood, he began researching the art of woodworking and now turns trees headed for the chipper into works of art.

The video tells the Bellock's story. You can see the art on Spirit and Soul of the Tree.
