The Challenger School concept originated in 1960 when Barbara Baker realized that the children in the early grades were not prepared for starting an academic life. The original Challenger School began as a preschool and gradually expanded into a system offering classes through middle school.
Challenger Schools offer schools in California, Utah, Nevada and Idaho.
