Mozy Remote Backup
I am glad to see that someone finally has a backup system that works. The challenge of a backup system is that you want to store the backup a good distance away from the computer. If your backup tapes are next to your computer and disaster strikes, you loose both your original data and backup.
Mozy Remote Backup is an online service that stores your backup at their secure data center in American Fork.
To use the program, you install Mozy service on your computer. This program lets you select the files and folders to backup. You then set a back up schedule. The program will the automatically back up your data on its remote server.
One of the best features of Mozy is that the program stores all the versions of your important files. This feature saved me a whole week of work when I realized that I overwrote an important file. I was able to use Mozy to restore the older version that had the data I needed.
