Simple Scrapbooks Magazine

There is a pressure in the scrapbooking world to over do things. Excessive embellishments, however, can actually detract from the memories being preserved. Even worse, the drive to over embellish a scrapbook can quickly lead to burn out. I mean, do you really want to spend an hour embellishing a photo that took less than a second to take?

For this reason, I am happy to see Simple Scrapbooks Magazine advocating the basics. The site wishes to set scrapbookers on a sustainable path that can make scrapbooking a long term part of one's life. Quite frankly all creative processes are a matter of mastering the basics. Artists can easily fall victims of their expectations.
