Utah Rivers Council

Did you know that Salt Lake City is in a desert?. You can kind of tell that by the relative lack rain fall and plants.

The thing about living in a desert ... we end up concentrating our activities around the small number of streams and rivers in the state.

The Utah Rivers Council is an advocate for the state's precious bodies of water. The council helps draw up strategic plans for protecting our natural resources, and supports common sense ideas for conserving water...for example, they advocate stopping the subsidy of water usage with property tax

We can all help with the goal of water conservation. The H20 Conservation page has tips on saving water indoors and outdoors.
