Computer technology has lowered the cost of recording and has led to a major boom for independent artists. A large number of local bands have produced CDs. Unfortunately, there is not a large number of outlets for their productions.

CDBaby.com is a Portland web site that has become a major outlet for independent artists. For that matter, they have one of the largest selection of CDs from independent artists on the net. CDBaby provides many different views of the CDs. I've linked to the CD Baby Utah page which lists recordings from Utah bands.
