Americans tend to see the act of donating blood as a voluntary act. For that matter, laws prevent the use of buying blood for transfusions.

ARUP Blood Services provides the majority of blood used by Utah children. Since blood given to babies and small children cannot be more than five days old, this creates an ongoing need for fresh donations. Learn more about how you can help.

Octapharma has a plasma donation center at 5414 South 900 East. They will compensate donors for the time needed to collect plasma.
BioMat USA (Profile)
BioMat is a chain of clinics that collect plasma for Grifols Plasma. The plasma is used to make life saving medicines. Biomat compensates patrons for the time needed to donate plasma. They have multiple locations in the Salt Lake Valley.
CSL Plasma (Profile)
CSL has a plasma donation center at 2978 South State Street. They compensate patrons for the time taken to make the donation.
